The Junior League of Atlanta has nearly 4,000 members, making it one of the larger Leagues within the Association of Junior Leagues International (spanning over 294 Leagues). Continued focus on improving the health, education and welfare of women and children, the Junior League of Atlanta serves as a much-needed volunteer resource and as a catalyst for positive change through our partnerships with nonprofit organizations in our community.
The Junior League of Atlanta believes that the collective power of diverse women, joined together to identify unmet needs and forge effective coalitions, can dramatically improve our community. We also believe that in order to most effectively cultivate positive community action, volunteers need educational opportunities for personal growth and volunteer leadership to develop to their potential.
Key to our success is a commitment to providing effective action through trained leaders and volunteers. The League’s training and experience equips members to be most effective in their volunteer work, while also fueling their commitment to community service in other areas. Last year, the JLA contributed over 75,000 volunteer hours, valued at nearly $2 million dollars to community agencies and programs that support empowering women and children to become self-sufficient.
