Inaugural Literacy Walk Raises $25,000 for Literacy

The Junior League of Atlanta’s inaugural Literacy Walk was held on November 7, 2021, and it engaged more than 200 participants of all ages to go the extra mile for literacy. Participant and sponsor support and helped raise nearly $25,000 for literacy awareness in the Greater Atlanta community, with proceeds benefiting the JLA and its work with local community organizations engaged in literacy and language development for children and adults including Literacy Action, the Atlanta Speech SchoolGeorgia Early Education Alliance for Ready Students (GEEARS) and Journey to Literacy.
