Tara’s Story

Tara’s message:

The Junior League of Atlanta’s  Little Black Dress Initiative is a space where we can come together to seek to not only understand but learn more about the ways in which generational poverty affects those in our very own communities and how we and the JLA can help those in need. The issues our Community is facing are heartbreaking especially when it comes to children and we as a community need to work together to bring awareness to others and raise the funds needed to support our Community Partners in need. We ask that you participate in whichever way is most comfortable to you, by being a JLA Advocate, donating or just sharing the message and having a conversation with your family and friends.

The funds raised by this advocacy effort are used to  support the JLA’s Community Partners and train community members to continue the conversation and to bring awareness to bring equity to all members of our communities.  Please consider supporting the LBDI efforts this October 19 – 23.  “Alone we can do so little: Together we can do so much” – Helen Keller
