When is the Shamrock ‘N Roll Road Race?

Where is the Shamrock ‘N Roll Road Race?
The start and finish line is at Atlantic Station.  The start line is 17th Street and the finish line is at Atlantic Station’s Central Park, in front of Rosa Mexicano.

What time does each race start?
8:30am – 5K and 10K timed
10:00am – 1K Belk Kids’ Fun Run (prior to awards ceremony)

What time do I arrive on Race Day?

If you’ve already picked up your packet, you can arrive as little as 15 minutes before the start of your race. Remember – roads will be closed around Atlantic Station. If you are picking up your packet or registering on race day, you should arrive at least 30 minutes before your race. 
Where do the race proceeds go?
Funds raised support the mission of The Junior League of Atlanta, Inc.  Race proceeds help train and educate the membership of The Junior League of Atlanta, Inc. for effective community service, as well as to financially aid projects and programs of the 90+ community partners where JLA volunteers serve.

How can I register?

There are 5 ways to register:

1. Register online here.

2. Download the registration form (coming soon) and mail it to: Shamrock ‘N Roll Road Race, 3154 Northside Parkway, NW Atlanta GA  30327.

3. Register in person at The Junior League of Atlanta Headquarters, 3154 Northside Parkway, Atlanta, GA  30327.

4. Register at the Packet Pickup event on Friday, March 10th (10:00am – 7:00pm) and Saturday, March 11th(10:00am – 6:00pm). Packet Pickup is at West Stride, 3517 Northside Pkwy, Atlanta, GA  30327.

5. Register on race day beginning at 7:00am.

To whom do I make the check?
Please make checks payable to The Junior League of Atlanta, Inc, and write “Shamrock ‘N Roll” in the memo section of your check.

What is the policy on refunds of registration fees?
No refunds are issued for registration fees.

How do I know if I’m registered?
If you register online, you will receive a confirmation email. If you registered by mail, your cancelled check is your confirmation. If you register at West Stride, you will receive a receipt at the store.

How does team registration work?
You and your friends, family and co-workers can run together as a team. When registering online, the team captain will create the team first, and then the other members can join that team. When registering by mail, at Packet Pickup or on race day, please write your team name on the registration form. For additional questions about teams, please email


Are there different route options?
Yes, we have a timed 5K and timed 10K that are qualifiers for the Peachtree Road Race. We also have a timed Kids Fun Run (1K). The route maps are coming soon!

Where can I pick up my t-shirt and race number?
At the Packet Pickup Event on Friday, March 10th (10:00am – 7:00pm) and Saturday, March 11th (10:00am – 6:00pm). Packet Pickup is at West Stride, 3517 Northside Pkwy, Atlanta, GA  30327 OR at Atlantic Station’s Central Park on race day beginning at 7:00am.

Can I pick up someone else’s race number and t-shirt?
Yes, as long as they are already registered and have signed the waiver.

If I’m on a team, can I pick up my own packet?
Yes, unless your team captain has arranged to pick up for the entire team. So please check with your captain first.

If I pick up my packet at the Packet Pick Up, do I need to do anything else on Sunday?
No – just show up and run! But DON’T FORGET your number!

Are there any special provisions for wheelchair participants?
Wheelchair participants are welcome. Be advised, though, that the race takes place on the street and the conditions aren’t ideal for wheelchairs. You must be able to keep up with the group in your chosen race.

Are prizes given out for the fastest times?
Yes. The overall winners in the 5K and 10K will each receive a Belk gift card and medal. The 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers in each age group receive medals.


Will the race be cancelled if the weather is bad?
No – this is a rain or shine event. 

Where can I park?
Parking can be found at Atlantic Station off 16th Street & Market Street – the State Street, 20thStreet and Fowler Street entrances will be closed. Please see this map of Atlantic Station parking. The roads on the race route will close at 7:30am.

What time do the roads close?
The roads on the race route close at 7:30am. 

Are there water stations along the course?
Yes, there are two water stations on the 5K and 10K route.

What should I wear?
Runners, walkers and dogs are encouraged to wear GREEN running attire, but this is optional.  You’ll see many of the race participants wearing kilts, green tutus and other green attire!

Are strollers allowed in the race?
Yes. For safety reasons, runners with strollers and baby joggers must line up behind the other runners. 

Are dogs allowed?
Yes. For safety reasons, runners with dogs must line up behind the other runners. 

How do I volunteer for the race?
The Junior League of Atlanta members volunteer during the race. Please stop by the information table at Central Park to find out more about joining the JLA!
