Nearly New Mission Statement
The Junior League of Atlanta Nearly New Shop’s mission is to continue as a viable cornerstone for raising funds for targeted community agencies; to provide the public with quality, used clothing and goods at reasonable prices; to increase the community awareness of the Junior League of Atlanta’s purpose; to instill in the Nearly New volunteers and membership a sense of shop ownership; and to provide flexible volunteer opportunities, camaraderie and leadership.
About the Nearly New Shop
The Junior League of Atlanta, Inc. has contributed to the Atlanta community through our Nearly New thrift shop. Provisional and Active members donate $40.00 or more to the Nearly New in clothes or cash, and over 350 volunteers help staff the store. The Nearly New Shop has served thousands of customers, expanded and moved locations eight times, raised over $3 million for the community, and served as a placement for countless League members. Yet through it all, the mission has remained the same: to offer quality merchandise and a positive Junior League image, to raise money for community projects, and to offer an interesting, fun placement for members.
