PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE

Thank you for your interest in the Junior League of Atlanta (JLA). It is my tremendous honor to serve as JLA’s President for the 2026-2027 League year.
In 1916, the Junior League of Atlanta was founded by 45 women, seeking to increase awareness of the social problems facing Atlanta and work toward solutions to them. For 110 years, JLA members have stepped up to meet the most pressing needs of Atlanta’s women and children and to create meaningful community impact through collective service. Our commitment to transforming the Atlanta community through service and advocacy has remained steadfast, from JLA members founding the Atlanta Speech School, the Atlanta Children’s Day Shelter, and other treasured Atlanta nonprofit organizations to advocating tirelessly for the passage of critical legislation at the State Capitol to so much more. Today, we move our mission forward in large part through our Every Child Reads initiative, recognizing that every child, regardless of zip code, deserves access to the language and literacy skills necessary to be self-determined.
Our dedicated members remain at the heart of our work. JLA members are not only ambassadors of our mission but are also the catalyst for the transformative work we carry out across the City of Atlanta, dedicating their time, talent, and leadership to advancing meaningful change daily. I am deeply grateful for their continued commitment to our beloved organization.
As we embark on our 110th year of service, our efforts will center on connecting through our mission – connecting in service to, and in partnership with, the Atlanta community and with one another as members. We are excited to begin the first year of a new strategic plan, a new governance model, and a new digital platform this League year, all of which will carry us into the next chapter of our mission-focused impact. However, we cannot further our work without our incredible community supporters and champions. With that, I invite you to join us in the following ways:
– To learn about membership, join us at an upcoming Open House.
– To work alongside us in the Atlanta community, consider becoming a community partner.
– To support our work in the Atlanta community through a financial gift, we truly appreciate your donation to the League individually or as a corporate sponsor.
Thank you for your support of JLA, and let us connect through mission, one act in service at a time.
Yours in service,
Kristen Settlemire Fuller
