The Junior League of Atlanta raises monies through fundraising efforts in an effort to train and educate League members for effective community service, as well as to financially support projects and programs where League volunteers serve. Focused on improving the health, education and welfare of women and children, The Junior League of Atlanta serves as a much-needed volunteer resource and as a catalyst for positive change through partnerships with more than 90 nonprofit organizations in our community. These partners include the Atlanta Children’s Shelter, the Atlanta Speech School and Grady Health System. In 2008-2009, the Junior League of Atlanta raised more than $700,000 in support of its mission and reached more than 650,000 women and children through community volunteer efforts.
