Partnering with The Junior League of Atlanta
The Junior League of Atlanta (JLA) partners with community agencies that reflect our mission, vision and values. These include agencies that improve our community through League volunteer opportunities that have a measurable impact on the agency and the population it serves. Focused on improving the health, education and welfare of women and children, the Junior League of Atlanta provides much-needed volunteer resources and funding, and serves as a catalyst for positive change through our partnerships with more than 90 non-profit organizations.
Each year, the Junior League of Atlanta invests thousands of volunteer hours to community agencies and programs that support empowering women and children to become self-sufficient. In 2008-2009 over 1,800 active members provided over 90,000 hours of volunteer service in the community saving charities more than $1.8 million. Through our collective force, the League reached more than 650,000 women and children through its volunteer efforts, and raised more than $700,000 that directly benefited women and children at-risk.

Community Placement and Outreach Partners
The Junior League of Atlanta has hundreds of trained volunteers who each commit 50+ hours of direct volunteer service to partner organizations, or League “Community Placements.” The League also provides funding for special programs of these organizations.
In addition, the League also looks for creative ways to partner with community agencies through various outreach programs that include advocacy, drives for items such as children’s books and clothing, “done-in-a-day” projects, and providing members to serve on partner agencies’ Board of Directors.
